New Vinyl Releases To Watch This Week: October 02, 2026

The Marias - Submarine (RSD Essential, Clear/Sea Blue Split Colored Vinyl)

Marias - Submarine, RSD Essential, Clear and Sea Blue Split Colored Vinyl, Packshot at Toucan Records

The Marías return to Submarine with an RSD Essential pressing that gives the band's 2024 album a striking new presentation. Built around María Zardoya's airy vocals, sleek bass lines, hazy guitars and understated electronic rhythms, the record drifts between dream pop, psychedelic soul and softly textured indie pop while keeping its cool, nocturnal atmosphere intact. Songs such as "Run Your Mouth" and "No One Noticed" show how easily the group can move from restrained groove to widescreen emotion without losing the album's intimate pull. This edition celebrates the album's second anniversary with alternate cover art and a half clear, half sea blue vinyl colorway that mirrors the underwater imagery woven through the record's visual identity. Issued as RSD Essential 099 and arriving October 2, 2026, this version gives Submarine a fresh physical presentation while preserving the moody, immersive sound that helped make it one of The Marías' most recognizable releases in recent years.

Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up The Girl (Anniversary Edition, Blue Iris Vinyl LP)

Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up The Girl, Anniversary Edition on Blue Iris Colored Vinyl, Packshot at Toucan Records

Goo Goo Dolls revisit their breakthrough 1998 album Dizzy Up The Girl with a new Anniversary Edition pressed on Blue Iris colored vinyl. The record blends ringing guitars, polished alternative rock hooks and reflective balladry, capturing the sound that pushed the band into the mainstream while retaining the emotional directness that defined their earlier work. "Iris" remains the centerpiece, while "Slide" and the rest of the album show how effectively the band balanced radio-ready melodies with a textured, guitar-driven edge. Originally the group's sixth studio album, Dizzy Up The Girl went on to sell more than four million copies in the U.S. and more than five million worldwide. This 2026 pressing keeps the original single-LP track sequence intact while giving the release a fresh visual twist with its Blue Iris vinyl presentation. Arriving October 2, it offers another way to revisit one of the defining alternative rock albums of the late 1990s, now in a distinctive new pressing while giving longtime listeners a fresh reason to return.

Wynonna - The Hard Truth (Standard Weight, Black Vinyl Record)

Wynonna returns with The Hard Truth, a deeply personal new album that draws on experience, loss, resilience and the perspective earned across decades in country music. Recorded at her studio in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee, the set pairs her unmistakable voice with a raw, roots-focused sound that keeps the emotion close to the surface. Much of the album was written with her husband and longtime musical partner Cactus Moser, who also produced the project, giving the record an especially intimate feel. Songs such as "Am I Missing Out" and "All Downhill From Ashland" frame reflection and hard-won wisdom with sturdy country arrangements, while guest appearances add another layer to the album's storytelling. Arriving October 2, The Hard Truth marks Wynonna's first new studio album in more than a decade and presents ten new songs shaped by family, memory and survival. This standard black vinyl pressing offers the album in a straightforward format that keeps the focus on Wynonna's voice and the weight of the songs themselves from beginning to end.

Various Artists - Country Christmas (Christmas Tree Green Colored Vinyl)

Country Christmas gathers eleven holiday favorites from several generations of country music, pairing familiar seasonal standards with songs that have become closely associated with the genre. Brooks & Dunn open the collection with "Winter Wonderland," while Elvis Presley and Kane Brown join forces on "Blue Christmas," helping set a mix of classic warmth and contemporary country polish. The lineup also includes Gene Autry, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Alabama, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Johnny Cash and Martina McBride, giving the album an unusually broad span of voices and styles. Traditional selections sit comfortably beside country-specific favorites, making the record work equally well as background music for holiday gatherings or as a focused seasonal listen. Arriving October 2 on Christmas Tree Green colored vinyl, this single-LP collection packages a strong cross-section of country Christmas music in a festive pressing well suited to the season.

INXS - INXS (Rocktober, Indie Exclusive, Limited Edition Sea Blue Vinyl LP)

INXS - INXS, Rocktober, Indie Exclusive, Limited Edition Sea Blue Colored Vinyl, Packshot at Toucan Records

Before INXS became international stars, their 1980 self-titled debut captured a young Australian band still shaping the sound that would carry them through the decade. INXS mixes new wave, ska, pop rock and lean guitar-driven rhythms, with Michael Hutchence's developing vocal style already giving the songs a distinctive presence. "Just Keep Walking" became the group's first Australian Top 40 single, while the rest of the album shows the interplay between Andrew Farriss' keyboards and guitar, Tim Farriss' lead guitar, Garry Gary Beers' bass, Jon Farriss' drums and Kirk Pengilly's guitar and saxophone. The record is rougher, more restless and less polished than the albums that followed, but that early edge is part of its appeal, revealing a band experimenting with rhythm, atmosphere and arrangement before settling into the sleek sound that later became its signature. Returning October 2 as part of Rocktober 2026, this limited-edition indie exclusive is pressed on Sea Blue vinyl and gives the debut a fresh physical presentation while revisiting the starting point of one of Australia's most successful rock bands.
