Six years after Punisher, Phoebe Bridgers returns to solo work with Lost Weekend, an album that pushes her intimate songwriting into a wider and sometimes stranger sonic space without losing the emotional precision that made her earlier records so distinctive. Songs including "Still Standing," "Bobby," and "I Can't Wait" move through grief, relationships, memory, and the disorienting changes that followed the enormous success of Punisher and boygenius, while the arrangements expand beyond the sparse singer-songwriter framework listeners might expect. Ambient textures, banjo, layered guitars, fragments of everyday sound, and sudden shifts in scale give parts of the record an almost cinematic quality, with quieter passages opening into fuller, dreamlike production while Bridgers' dry humor and closely observed writing remain at the center. The result feels less like a straightforward continuation of her earlier work and more like an expansion of it. A year after Wishbone marked Conan Gray's return to more diaristic, guitar-centered songwriting, its deluxe edition makes an interesting case for reopening a story that never sounded completely settled. The original album followed heartbreak through recurring people, places, and memories, but these five additional songs linger in what happens afterward: the habits that remain, the urge to shut someone out, and the equally strong temptation to leave a way back in. "Door" circles around the mundane routines of trying to move forward, while "Moths" turns an open window into a particularly effective image for knowingly allowing trouble back into your life. By the time "The Best" reaches its unfinished farewell, Wishbone Deluxe feels less like five bonus tracks attached to an album and more like an epilogue that deliberately refuses to provide perfect closure. The 17-song edition releases on two Midnight Black LPs and includes an exclusive 16x20-inch poster.

Miles Davis - Cookin' With The Miles Davis Quintet [Original Jazz Classics, 180g Audiophile Vinyl]

Few jazz lineups need less introduction than Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio during the Quintet's remarkable 1956 sessions, Cookin' With The Miles Davis Quintet was one of four albums assembled from performances captured largely without rehearsal and in single takes. "My Funny Valentine" leaves remarkable room around Davis' muted trumpet before the rhythm section begins to press forward, while "Blues by Five" opens the group into a blues framework that gives each player space to speak. Side two moves through "Airegin" before closing with the swinging "Tune Up/When Lights Are Low" medley. This Original Jazz Classics edition gives the 1957 Prestige album an audiophile treatment with AAA mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio, 180g vinyl pressed at RTI, a Stoughton tip-on jacket, and an obi strip.

By the time Descendents recorded All in 1987, the band's lineup had changed significantly with guitarist Stephen Egerton and bassist Karl Alvarez joining Milo Aukerman and Bill Stevenson. Their arrival helped push the music beyond the stripped-down attack of the band's earliest records, adding sharper guitar work, more involved arrangements, and melodic ideas that would become central to the Descendents sound. "Coolidge," "Clean Sheets," and "Pep Talk" sit alongside the band's characteristically brief bursts such as "All," "No, All!" and "All-O-Gistics," packing 13 tracks into an album that became the final studio release of the group's original run before Stevenson, Egerton, and Alvarez continued as ALL. The Punk Note edition reimagines the packaging through John Yates' artwork inspired by Reid Miles and Francis Wolff's classic Blue Note aesthetic, with new liner notes and a deluxe case-wrapped jacket.

Fifty years later, Agents Of Fortune remains the record where Blue Öyster Cult became considerably easier to hear without becoming an especially conventional band. Their first three albums had established a strange world of heavy guitars, cryptic writing, science fiction, menace, and dark humor; the fourth found ways to carry those ideas into tighter and more melodic songs. The most famous result was "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," but one of the album's more unusual distinctions is that every member of the original five-man lineup takes a lead vocal somewhere on the record, giving Agents Of Fortune a noticeably less centralized personality than many major rock albums of the period. It became the band's commercial breakthrough in 1976 while preserving enough eccentricity that its biggest success never really turned Blue Öyster Cult into an ordinary arena-rock act. This new 50th Anniversary edition returns the original 10-song album to vinyl on a limited gold-colored pressing.
