The original album moves through sharply different stages of a relationship: "This Song" turns withheld feelings into a confession, while "Vodka Cranberry" confronts the realization that a romance may already be coming apart. "Romeo" pushes heartbreak into a bigger, dramatic refrain, and "Connell" pulls inward with a quieter account of longing and emotional distance.
