Rodrigo y Gabriela's self-titled breakthrough returns for its 20th Anniversary as a limited 2LP edition pairing the original 2006 album with the previously unreleased 2002 debut recording, Re-Foc, on vinyl for the first time. "Tamacun," "Diablo Rojo," "Vikingman," and "Ixtapa" show the duo's percussive acoustic guitar style in recognizable form. This jade green and citrus yellow Eco-Mix vinyl record includes a gatefold jacket and poster.

"Tamacun" opens the album with rapid rhythmic drive, using Rodrigo Sanchez and Gabriela Quintero's interlocking guitars as the main force rather than a rhythm section. "Diablo Rojo" pushes the pace with a sharper lead line, while "Vikingman" turns toward heavier strumming and quick shifts in attack. "Ixtapa" adds a guest vocal from Zoe Conway, giving the first LP a different tone before the duo's covers of "Stairway To Heaven" and "Orion" translate rock and metal source material into two-guitar arrangements.

Re-Foc is the key addition here, giving the anniversary edition material from before the self-titled album turned "Tamacun" and "Diablo Rojo" into signature Rodrigo y Gabriela tracks. "Diem," "New One," "Foc," and "30 de Marzo" show the duo's early focus on speed, repetition, and two-guitar movement.
