Ramones - Live At The Roxy [2LP, Spirit Of 76, Tan Vinyl]

Recorded during the Ramones' first Los Angeles appearances, Live At The Roxy documents both sets performed at the West Hollywood club on August 12, 1976. The band had released its debut album only months earlier, and the set list concentrates on the short, fast songs from Ramones before repeating the program for the second show. This limited indie exclusive 2LP vinyl record edition places both complete performances together for the first time.

"Loudmouth" opens each set before "Beat On The Brat" and "Blitzkrieg Bop" establish the rapid pace that defined the band's earliest concerts. "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" briefly slows the program with a more melodic vocal, while "53rd & 3rd" and "Havana Affair" return to harder guitar and bass-driven momentum. Both sets conclude with "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue" and the band's cover of "Let's Dance," preserving the repeated running order heard by the two Roxy audiences that evening in Los Angeles.

The near-identical set lists make the release a direct comparison between two performances from the same night, including small changes in timing, delivery, and crowd response.
