Radiohead's third studio album, OK Computer, was released in May 1997 on Parlophone, recorded partly at St. Catherine's Court, a 15th-century manor house in Bath. The twelve-track record won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 1998 and landed at No. 1 on Rolling Stone's 100 Best Albums of the 1990s. Now reissued by XL Recordings on standard black vinyl 2LP, the album is presented in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves and the original twelve-track sequence intact.
The twelve tracks move between guitar-driven rock, electronic textures, and orchestrated arrangements, with Thom Yorke's falsetto running through all of it. "Paranoid Android," the six-minute lead single, reached No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart and shifts between four distinct sections without a conventional verse-chorus structure. "Karma Police" builds from a spare piano-and-guitar arrangement into a fuller orchestral outro, peaking at No. 8 in the UK. "No Surprises," built on Jonny Greenwood's glockenspiel figure, reached No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart.
Pressed on 180-gram black vinyl, OK Computer is presented as 2LPs with twelve tracks sequenced over four sides, labeled Eeny, Meeny, Miney, and Mo. The gatefold jacket includes lyrics and credits, with printed inner sleeves featuring artwork on both sides. The XL Recordings reissue replicates the original Parlophone packaging.
