George Clinton and Parliament delivered Mothership Connection in December 1975, a groundbreaking concept album that transported funk into outer space and forever changed the trajectory of Black music. Mothership Connection became Parliament's first gold and platinum certified album, supported by the hit "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)," the band's first million-selling single.
