London singer-songwriter Olivia Dean won Best New Artist at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards and made chart history. The Art Of Loving debuted at number one on the UK Official Albums Chart, making Dean the first British female solo artist to score the rare chart double since Adele in 2021, with "Man I Need" simultaneously topping the singles chart. The album debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 with 43,000 units and reached number one in Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.
Recorded over eight weeks in a transformed East London house, The Art Of Loving blends neo-soul, pop, and R&B across twelve tracks with executive producer Julian Bunetta. "Man I Need" delivers independence anthems with Motown-influenced warmth, while "Lady Lady" channels retro soul grooves. "So Easy (To Fall in Love)" showcases bossa nova influences, and "Let Alone the One You Love" explores letting go with devastating beauty. Dean plays piano, keyboards, and sings throughout, bridging classic soul with contemporary production.
This black vinyl LP includes a printed insert. AllMusic called it "a couple cuts above her promising debut," while NME described it as marking "the next chapter in Dean's career, one as a popstar risen." The Art Of Loving captures an artist's breakthrough moment.
