Miles Davis opened a new electric chapter with In A Silent Way, a 1969 album built from space, atmosphere, electric keyboards, guitar, and carefully edited studio performances. Produced by Teo Macero and recorded at CBS 30th Street Studio in New York, the album moved Davis further from acoustic post-bop toward the fusion language that would shape his next decade.
