Laufey - Bewitched: The Goddess Edition [2 LP, Limited Blue Vinyl]

Bewitched, Laufey's second studio album, was released on September 8, 2023 through AWAL, debuting at No. 23 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Jazz Albums chart. The album broke the record for the biggest jazz album debut in Spotify history and won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 66th Grammy Awards. Released April 26, 2024, Bewitched: The Goddess Edition expands the original fourteen-track sequence with four bonus tracks, pressed on limited dark blue vinyl at 45 RPM and packaged with an updated booklet and a custom board game.

Laufey wrote and produced the majority of the record, performing vocals, guitar, cello, and piano throughout. "From the Start" and "Promise" are the album's most commercially recognized singles, the former going 2x Platinum and the latter Gold with the RIAA. "California and Me," recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra, and the closing title track "Bewitched" represent the album's more orchestrated moments. "Misty" and "It Could Happen to You," a Jimmy Van Heusen jazz standard, are the two cover recordings among the eighteen tracks.

Pressed on limited dark blue vinyl at 45 RPM, Bewitched: The Goddess Edition presents eighteen tracks over four sides, with the four bonus tracks "Bored," "Trouble," "It Could Happen to You," and "Goddess" occupying Side D. The expanded package includes an updated booklet and a custom board game. The original fourteen-track sequence from the 2023 release remains intact on Sides A through C, with Side D representing four tracks recorded exclusively for this edition and not available on the standard pressing.
