Lainey Wilson - Whirlwind [Deluxe Edition, 2 Black Vinyl LPs]

Lainey Wilson's deluxe edition third studio album for Broken Bow Records was released in August 2025, with producer Jay Joyce returning from her previous albums. The Louisiana native enlisted her touring band to play on the record instead of utilizing studio musicians, capturing the chemistry developed during years of relentless touring. Wilson co-wrote all 14 tracks on the original release. The deluxe edition expands the standard album with five additional songs.

The album won Album of the Year at the 60th ACM Awards, where Wilson also claimed Entertainer of the Year for the second consecutive year. "Hang Tight Honey" served as the lead single, released on May 20, 2024, while "4x4xU" followed as the second single, becoming the most-added song at country radio upon impact with 65 first-week adds. The album features a collaboration with Miranda Lambert on "Good Horses," connecting two generations of country artists.

The deluxe edition adds "Somewhere Over Laredo," "Bell Bottoms Up," "King Ranch, King George, King James," "Yesterday, All Day, Every Day," and "Peace, Love, and Cowboys" to the original 14 tracks. The 19-song collection balances traditional country influences with pop, rock, and soul elements, from the groovy title track celebrating reckless love to the emotional ballad "Devil Don't Go There."

This deluxe edition 2LP black vinyl pressing features a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves, delivering an album that captures Wilson at the height of her commercial and creative powers following her breakthrough with 2021's Sayin' What I'm Thinkin'.
