Jethro Tull reshape Aqualung through Steven Wilson's stereo remix, giving Ian Anderson's flute, acoustic guitar, and vocal character a fresh presentation while preserving the album's split between hard rock force and folk-rooted detail. The songs move from street-level portraits into questions of organized religion and personal belief. This 180g vinyl record uses the 2011 Wilson mix and is housed in a gatefold cover with a 24-page booklet.

"Aqualung" opens with a riff and character sketch built around illness, isolation, and public discomfort. "Cross-Eyed Mary" shifts the view to another outsider figure, moving with a harder groove and Anderson's flute cutting through the band. "Cheap Day Return" and "Wond'ring Aloud" pull the album toward short acoustic writing, giving side one quieter breaks. "My God" turns toward religious authority, while "Locomotive Breath" uses a rolling piano entrance and charging rhythm for the album's closing rush.

The album is often discussed as a concept record, but Ian Anderson has rejected that label, and the songs work best as linked observations rather than a single plot. The first side leans into flawed people and social judgment, while the second turns toward belief, ritual, and institutional power. Martin Barre's guitar and Anderson's flute tie the record to heavy rock and British folk sources.
