Iron Butterfly's Fillmore East 1968 pulls from the band's New York shows with Doug Ingle's organ, Erik Brann's guitar, Lee Dorman's bass, and Ron Bushy's drums working through compact live versions before the side-long centerpiece. This Rocktober indie exclusive vinyl record presents the concert material as a 1LP black pressing, drawing from performances recorded months before In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida made the group a major psychedelic rock name.

"Are You Happy" opens the LP with a brisk live take built around organ movement and group momentum. "Unconscious Power" pushes harder, using its short running time for a more urgent attack. "My Mirage" slows the pace and gives Ingle a more melodic vocal setting, while "So-Lo" places the organ closer to the front of the performance. Side B moves from "Stamped Ideas" into the full 17-minute "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," making the drum break, riff, and repeated organ figure the release's main live draw here.

These Fillmore East recordings show Iron Butterfly at the point where garage rock, psychedelia, and heavier late-60s arrangements were meeting onstage. The selected tracklist favors the second night's first show, then uses the April 26 second-show version of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" for the full B-side. This limited edition Rocktober pressing is presented on black vinyl.
