Green Lung push their heavy metal and occult-rock blend deeper into their London mythology on Necropolitan, pairing thick guitar riffs, prominent Hammond organ, big choruses, and theatrical vocals with songs rooted in the city's cemeteries and underground history. The nine-track album was recorded at Rockfield Studios with producer Tom Dalgety, giving the band's fourth full-length a strong connection to classic British hard rock and doom metal.

"Dance to the Grave" moves from a ritualistic opening into heavy riffs, organ, and a large chorus, while "Black Magick Radio" draws on 1960s pirate radio, occult groups, and gothic subculture. "Necropolitan Line" takes its subject from London's former Necropolis Railway and drives forward with a faster, more propulsive rhythm. "Evil in This House" leans into layered melodies and a darker melodic pull, showing how Green Lung shift between doom weight, hard-rock hooks, and keyboard-led drama here.

Much of Necropolitan is tied directly to London, particularly the city's Victorian cemeteries, occult history, and the subcultures that grew around them. The Indie Exclusive vinyl record is pressed on Midnight Sparkle/Starlight colored vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket. Nuclear Blast confirms that this edition also includes a 12-page booklet and a full Necropolitan map.
