Grant Green approaches Street of Dreams as a quartet session built around guitar, organ, vibraphone, and drums, with no separate bassist. Larry Young's organ supplies the low-end foundation while Bobby Hutcherson's vibraphone adds another melodic voice beside Green's guitar, and Elvin Jones handles the drums. Recorded at Van Gelder Studio with producer Alfred Lion, the four-song set gives each player room within its relaxed, organ-led jazz setting.

"I Wish You Love" opens with Green stating the melody in single-note lines while Young supports him with organ chords and bass movement. "Lazy Afternoon" slows the pace, giving Hutcherson's vibraphone more space around the guitar phrases. The title track moves with a firmer pulse as Green and Hutcherson trade melodic ideas over Young and Jones, while "Somewhere in the Night" closes with a lighter theme and another round of solos. With no horn section, the quartet's guitar, vibes, and organ remain exposed.

This Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series edition is presented in stereo with an all-analog mastering chain, with Kevin Gray mastering directly from the original master tapes. The 180g vinyl was pressed at Optimal. The session pairs Green with Larry Young on organ, Bobby Hutcherson on vibraphone, and Elvin Jones on drums, returning three members of the Talkin' About! lineup with Hutcherson added.
