The Bo Diddley-groove-driven title track "Faith" became the best-selling U.S. single of 1988. "Father Figure" is a slow-burning gospel-tinged ballad that also topped the Hot 100, and "One More Try" remains one of the longest songs ever to reach number one on that chart. "Monkey" rounded out the four chart-toppers, while the funk-driven "I Want Your Sex" served as the provocative lead single that helped ignite the album's campaign and send Faith to the top of the Billboard 200 for 12 weeks.

The half-speed mastering process allows for finer detail in the cutting stage, and this pressing comes housed in a 3mm spined sleeve with a printed inner sleeve and a 12x12 lyric sheet insert.
