Built while Geese's members were still teenagers in Brooklyn, Projector turns the band's basement-made beginnings into a debut built on two-guitar interplay, post-punk rhythms, barbershop harmonies, and synths. Cameron Winter moves between clipped phrasing, half-falsetto, and a broader rock vocal, while the band often works at a mid-tempo pace after the opener. This indie exclusive vinyl record presses the album on limited edition orange vinyl.

"Rain Dance" starts with an urgent full-band sprint before the record settles into its more measured pace. "Low Era" rides a looser groove and gives Winter room to shift from half-falsetto phrases into his broader lead vocal. "Disco" lasts nearly seven minutes, making it the album's longest track, while "Exploding House" also passes six minutes and becomes another extended piece on Side B. Those changes in pace and length keep the four songs clearly separated within the same post-punk framework.

The indie exclusive pressing uses opaque orange vinyl. A printed inner sleeve is included, continuing the album's original LP presentation, which used a printed inner with lyrics and a poem. The nine-track program places five songs on Side A and four on Side B, with "Projector" opening the second side and "Opportunity Is Knocking" closing it.
