Geese came out of Brooklyn with a debut that sounds wiry, unstable, and unusually self-assured for a first LP. Projector leans into jagged guitars, sudden rhythmic turns, and a nervous kind of theatricality that keeps the record from settling into standard post-punk revival habits. The songs feel restless without collapsing into noise, which gives the album a strong identity from the start. This black vinyl record pressing includes a printed inner sleeve.

"Rain Dance" opens the LP with a loose, lurching swing, while "Low Era" and "Fantasies / Survival" push the band further into clipped riffs, tension, and abrupt shape changes. "First World Warrior" and "Disco" keep the first half aggressive and off-balance, then "Projector" and "Exploding House" widen the record into something more dramatic and elastic. "Bottle" and "Opportunity Is Knocking" close the album with the same mix of abrasion, movement, and odd melodic instinct that makes the full set feel more distinctive than a few isolated singles.

What makes Projector stand out is how quickly Geese established a voice that did not sound borrowed whole from older New York guitar records. The playing is sharp and volatile, but the band leave enough space for tension, release, and awkward turns to matter. That balance keeps the LP from reading as pure chaos and gives the songs enough structure to reward full-album listening on vinyl.

"Rain Dance," "Fantasies / Survival," and "Projector" set the tone early, but "Exploding House" and "Opportunity Is Knocking" are a big part of what gives the LP its full shape. For listeners drawn to tense, left-leaning guitar records, Projector is a strong debut on vinyl.
