Boston Celtic punk heroes Dropkick Murphys deliver their thirteenth studio album For The People, released digitally July 4, 2025, with physical formats arriving October 10 via the band's Dummy Luck Music in partnership with Play It Again Sam. The album marks a return to the band's earliest punk rock roots while addressing contemporary political and social injustices with the courage and confidence that defines their 29-year career. This double vinyl edition features a gatefold jacket, fold-out poster, and includes five bonus tracks not available on the streaming version, plus an etched black rose on Side D. The striking album cover was created by renowned street artist Shepard Fairey's Studio Number One, capturing the album's themes of solidarity, resistance, and working-class advocacy.

Produced and mixed by longtime collaborator Ted Hutt, the 12-track album features guest appearances from Billy Bragg, Irish folk-metal band The Scratch, Irish folk group The Mary Wallopers, and returning original member Al Barr on "The Vultures Circle High." Lead singles "Who'll Stand With Us?" and "Chesterfields and Aftershave" showcase the band's evolved sound, with "Who'll Stand With Us?" serving as a working-class protest anthem that debuted alongside the album announcement. "Longshot" features The Scratch over Celtic punk energy, while "The Big Man" pays tribute to Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge. "Bury the Bones" with The Mary Wallopers delivers live-ready anthemic qualities, and "School Days Over" pairs the band with Billy Bragg on an Ewan MacColl cover. Personal tracks like "Streetlights" address frontman Ken Casey's father passing when Casey was eight years old, while "Chesterfields and Aftershave" honors the grandfather who raised him. The closing track "One Last Goodbye 'Tribute To Shane'" featuring The Scratch honors late Pogues singer Shane MacGowan with the Irish traditional "Mo Ghile Mear," the same song played at MacGowan's funeral.

Pressed on black vinyl across two LPs, this gatefold edition includes the fold-out poster and captures the album's dynamic range and raw punk energy.
