Charli XCX - Wuthering Heights [Green & Black Corona Vinyl LP]

Following the era-defining success of BRAT, Charli XCX pivoted dramatically with Wuthering Heights, an original soundtrack for Emerald Fennell's film adaptation of Emily Brontë's 1847 gothic novel. After creative exhaustion from touring, Charli found renewed inspiration when Fennell approached her to write music for the film. Charli proposed a full concept album with an "elegant and brutal sound palette" that reflected "a world that felt undeniably raw, wild, sexual, gothic, British, tortured." Working primarily with frequent collaborator Finn Keane (Easyfun), Charli wrote and recorded the 12-track album throughout 2025.

"House" features The Velvet Underground's John Cale on spoken word, with noisy distorted instrumentation described as gothic rock, industrial rock, and neoclassical dark wave. "Chains of Love" incorporates synth-pop production with strings, drawing comparisons to Charli's 2013 debut True Romance. The album represents Charli immersing herself in a story not her own, translating Brontë's themes of intense and destructive love through her experimental pop lens. Each song explores passion, pain, and gothic romanticism as Charli steps away from club classics into brooding cinematic soundscapes.

This limited edition features striking green and black corona colored vinyl with printed inner sleeve, decorative printed doily vinyl label, and mini lyric booklet enclosed in an envelope. The packaging mirrors the Victorian-era source material while documenting Charli's fearless artistic pivot.
