Brandon Flowers - THRASHER [Indie Exclusive Ground Red Vinyl]

Brandon Flowers turns toward country and western music on THRASHER, his third solo album and first in more than a decade. Recorded at Historic RCA Studio A in Nashville with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, the album brings pedal steel, harmonica, acoustic guitar, and country rhythm sections into Flowers' songwriting. David Rawlings, Bruce Bouton, and Charlie McCoy are among the Nashville players featured on the 10-song album.

"Plans" takes the form of a slow country ballad with strings and pedal steel, while "Paradise" moves faster on galloping banjo, steel guitar, harmonica, and an upbeat chorus. "Tiger's Blood" brings a stronger rock pulse to Flowers' memories of small-town Utah and repeats the image of a runaway train. "Does It Ever Cross Your Mind?" opens with a loping rhythm and pedal steel as Flowers considers chance, fate, and how two people end up together. The songs move from balladry to country drive and heartland rock.

This indie exclusive edition presses THRASHER on Ground Red colored vinyl, a limited indie-store variant. The LP is housed in gatefold packaging and includes a printed inner sleeve. Its single-disc sequence contains all 10 tracks, beginning with "Does It Ever Cross Your Mind?" and ending with "An American Dream," with "Plans," "Paradise," and "Tiger's Blood" appearing on the same LP.
