American Heart is Benson Boone's second studio album released in 2025 through Night Street and Warner Records. Following his platinum-certified debut Fireworks & Rollerblades and the viral phenomenon "Beautiful Things," which became the most streamed song in the world in 2024, the 10-track sophomore effort finds Boone stepping into a more defined artistic identity. Written over 17 days with collaborator Jack LaFrantz, the album draws inspiration from Bruce Springsteen and Americana music, channeling a rock-tinged '70s pop aesthetic. Announced at Coachella 2025 where Boone debuted alongside a surprise appearance by Queen's Brian May, the album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with 61,000 album units.
The album opens with "Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else," a top 20 hit about running into an ex while with a new partner. "Mr Electric Blue" pays tribute to Boone's father with Electric Light Orchestra-influenced production, while "Mystical Magical" interpolates Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" and became a viral sensation. "Momma Song" professes love to his mother, while closer "Young American Heart" tells the story of a near-fatal car accident from Boone's teenage years. Additional standout tracks include "Man in Me," with its synth-driven danceable energy, and "I Wanna Be the One You Call," completed through collaboration with producer Malay. Boone's four-octave vocal range anchors the album, moving effortlessly between theatrical belting and intimate falsetto passages.
Pressed on red, white and blue marble vinyl, the edition captures the imagery of the album's cover art, which depicts Boone standing before an American flag. The gatefold jacket provides expanded presentation space, while the package includes a 12x24 inch foldout insert. The visual presentation mirrors the album's themes of growth, nostalgia, and American identity. At just 30 minutes, the album delivers a concise statement that showcases Boone's evolution from TikTok sensation to Grammy-nominated artist with a distinct sound that balances arena-ready anthems with personal storytelling.
