Beabadoobee brings Pylon into sharper rock territory while still tying it to the diaristic writing that has followed her from early bedroom-pop releases into larger band arrangements. The album is her fourth studio LP, built with collaborators connected to alternative rock, emo, hardcore, and indie scenes. This indie exclusive limited edition vinyl record is pressed on oyster colored vinyl and includes a foldout poster for the album artwork cycle.
"Sun Has Set" introduces the album with Beabadoobee's stated focus on resentment and words left unsaid, making it the clearest early signal of the record's lyrical direction. "Write Me A Letter" stands apart through production from Matty Healy and George Daniel, while "Nothing To Prove" brings Hayley Williams into the tracklist. "Powerlines" adds Turnstile's Brendan Yates, placing a rock vocalist from a heavier lane beside Beabadoobee's writing. "Satellite" closes 14-song sequence after those named collaborations.
Many songs on Pylon are framed around conversations that never happened, so the album's subject matter leans into resentment, distance, and unsaid thoughts. The 14-track listing moves from the title track through "Satellite," with guest appearances and production credits spread through the record.
