Anthrax - Cursum Perficio [2 LP Red Yellow Orange Splatter]

Anthrax return to full-length studio work with Cursum Perficio, their first album after a decade-long gap following For All Kings. Produced by Jay Ruston with the band and recorded in part at Studio 606 in Los Angeles, the record brings Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, Frank Bello, Joey Belladonna, and Jonathan Donais together for 11 new tracks. This indie exclusive 2LP vinyl record pairs the album with red, yellow, and orange splatter vinyl.

The album moves from the compact intro "Persistence of Memory" into the longer attack of "The Long Goodbye," while "It's For the Kids" leans into the fast thrash style most closely associated with classic Anthrax. "Everybody's Got A Plan" builds around a heavy riff and a boxing-themed lyric, while "The Edge of Perfection" shifts from a quieter guitar opening into blastbeats and a much more expansive arrangement. Later tracks such as "Watch It Go" continue the album's heavier, aggressive direction.

The indie exclusive pressing uses two LPs on red, yellow, and orange splatter vinyl housed in a pop-up gatefold jacket. Mark Stritzel created the cover artwork with Charlie Benante, and the design introduces several illustrated characters connected to the album's visual concept. The gatefold construction gives that artwork an added physical dimension when the jacket is opened.
